99 gtx keeps killing battery

Had a dead battery in my gtx. Installed a new one started machine and ran fine, One hour later got ready to take the machine for a ride and the battery was dead. Something is draining the battery quickly. Has anybody seen this happen before? I replaced starter in the beggining of the season.

check conditon of the red/black cables. Fire ski up, hold to 5500rpm, and at that idle, voltmeter the battery..should be high 13's/low/mid 14's...if not, replace the rectifier.
