Ok. I am helping a freind with his 98 GTX RFI. He bought it and the previouse owner had put a new top end in it and undid the electrical box in the rear of the machine. We put it back together and hooked up the starter with a frexh battery and get no power anywhere. No beeps no gauges nothing. What shoul I look for?

Maybe fuse in Electical box
In the Electrical control box you will find two red small guage wires leading to a connector that is mounted in the bottom of the box. Unclip this connector and you will find a 15 amp fuse at the end of it. I had the same problem with my GTX with no power to the guages and switch and found this blown fuse was my problem.
