Have two 1998 gtx seadoos. One of them has had issues the past few days with sometimes beeping and starting and sometimes I get no beep and no power when attaching the lanyard. Lanyard works no problem on the other one so no issue there. Also, not sure if there could be any connection, but the oil sensor light has been coming on and off (but mostly on) even though the tank is full. Could the oil sensor be causing the no beep issue? I’m new to maintenance on jets skis so appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks in advance.

Well, embarrassingly enough it appears I simply had a bad ground connection with the wire on the battery terminal. The negative cable had some type of attachment on it that i removed and connected the cables direct to the battery and everything seems to work fine. What is this thing for?
