hello i have a 98 Seadoo Gsx ltd, and im about at wits end with this thing. basicly the problem is just how it sounds when you go to start the engine its very slow to crank ie the motor dose crank but the starter will sound like the signal gets cut in and out very fast, or just is pushing real hard, not a consistent crank just choppy. the motor will start still just know its not right. at this point now ive checked the switch ( passed no prob) replaced the starter, the battery, cleaned all the connections of the wires. and replaced the starter relay (twice) only reason for that was when i got the first new one it started like a charm for 2 days then went back to this. so returned it and got a free replacement , no luck. any help with this would very be much appreciated, like i said before about at wits end with the thing -scott

You could remove the battery & starter and have them load tested, just to rule
one or both out.
Use an auto jumper cable and connect ONLY the ground cable
on battery, the other end to engine block, retry start. The battery cable lugs rot
on the interior, can be cut off and re-solder new on and marine shrink-wrap, if this
is the case. Then try the Positive, to solenoid. Hope this helps! Bills86e
