'97 Seadoo Speedster

Evening all,

New owner of a '97 speedster, 15' with the twin rotax engines. I believe they are around 718.2 cc??

When I take off, the boat will rev all that I want, but barely move. I believe this is due to weeds, and it takes me about 10 minutes to work them out. I have a weedless handle under the helm, but it doenst budge. Any tricks to getting away from the dock without getting weeds in the intake, or do I have another problem?

I think when using weedless handle your boat needs to be turned off. Mine was hard to turn also. I used some lubricate on it (not the handle)to help loosen it up. It should turn about 1/4 turn then pull it towards you to open. I also read putting your boat in reverse may free up weeds also. Im not too sure on this info but pretty sure it will help you.
