So had the ski out today and all of a sudden it dies. Won’t start back up. Pull it out of water to look at it and spark plugs are dry. Unscrewed the filter in front compartment and it was full but I dumped it out. Now I can’t get it to fill back up when cranking engine. I tried to dump fuel in both plug hole but still nothing. Doesnt even try to fire. Need some help don’t know much about it thanks

If you’re not getting any fuel to the filter at all, I would first check to make sure the pulse line is still attached and intact at both the crankcase and the carbs. Then I’d start looking at the fuel selector if the pulse line checks out...

So I guess a mechanic said the carb is not sucking air like it should. It’s blowing it out. Not sure what to do about this?

Rebuild the carbs with genuine Mikuni kits... He’s describing a fuel pump diaphragm that’s not sealing, so the carbs need to come apart and gasket and diaphragm need to be replaced. Don’t buy any aftermarket parts!! Only genuine Mikuni! Follow the carb rebuild sticky on the top of the forum and you’ll be up and running...

Like I said, you’re going to have to pull the carb back apart and find out why the fuel pump diaphragm isn’t sealing. I’ve had some issues with not sealing well recently, so it’s not uncommon... Check everything to be sure there are no holes or tears in the plastic sheet and then reassemble the pump, tightening the screws in a cross pattern a little at a time...

Ok this is a friends jetski so I’m gonna ask him again what he was told was wrong. I was thinking it was something to do with the backside of the engine. Some gear was stripped or something I think. They don’t want to fix it but I’m curious if I could fix it myself for not much money.

It depends on what the issue really is. If it’s the fuel pump diaphragm, you can fix it yourself very easily. If you’ve got a motor problem, it may be a different story.
