So I took the jetpump off and luckily for me I was able to pull out the broken piece of thread with a knife. I then payed a visit to home-depot and got a 1/4 brass double headed fitting that should screw right into it's place for 3 bucks. I'll have to install it tomorrow with some Teflon tape.

where at you testing it at?
Markham or you going to pelican or haulover?

when i first took it out, i took it to 64th st, and the boat barely moved because of the carbon ring, yesterday when i got stuck and the problem with the water happened, was at pelican. im not sure where i'll take it, maybe blue lagoon or something like that. I need to install the jetpump now, and install my new radio i just got for the boat. Hopefully, it the boat will run how she is supposed to. Where do you go?

the pic is of the plastic part that broke off, and the brass that im replacing it. I tried screwing it in, and it fit nicely.

way to MacGyver replacement..
I would tell you Markham for easy testing and in/out of ramp.
Only 1.50 per person. Go to the left aroud dog park.
Canal is on Left and you usually have dowstean current in case you have to drift back.
I have a paddle you can borrow :p
Has land bank on ea side kindy of rocky though until you go futher up it opens up(wider)

Get Seatow for 150 bucks. Its well worth it in case boat leaves you out there.
If not you'll have to call twisted/blkgt or slowstag to get you w/his inflatable.

I could help early Friday at Markham.
Where do you live by? Im near 175

Just posted on pwcflorida twisted commented on the Regatta :banghead:
I will be stuck in education hours all weekend FML

i live in miami shores by i95 and 95st, i have class friday, so i cant take the boat out. Twisted- Joe, was telling me about the regatta also, but its a little far just to drive.

I honestly started calling around and non of the stealerships had the part i needed, so i decided to do my own upgrade, so this never happens to me again, plus it was cheeper!

markham is a little far to pull the boat with my car, so i have to see if i can get a hitch on my dads car, my eclipse is kinda maxed out with the yamaha vx that i pull. i was thinking of seatow, but i think i'll wait just a little bit, because im always riding with friends, so if anyone ever breaks down we can pull each other to safety.

got to get you working...
Your on premix or injection with that motor..

you and I will be the mosquito killers at the ramp.
I make sure to pull out quick b/c everyone starts looking to see where white cloud is comming from :)

i had to return the brass piece, because it wasnt long enough to clear the inside of the hull, i had to go to ace hardware and get a longer piece, i installed it and now its all hooked up and ready to test again. I ran the boat on the hose for a good 5 mins, and i found a few leaks of water from hoses. Im going to have to change my strainer i think mine is missing the o ring inside, i do have a spare lying around somewhere.

Do these boats leak water when they are sitting anchored?

also, when i ran the boat, i had to have the rpms around 1500-2000 because that's where it was the smoothest on the hose, anything around 1k and it was sputtering and wanted to stall. I let it idle down to about 800-900 and it stalled. Is that normal? i restarted and put the throttle up a little bit to about 1500 again. should i adjust my idle?

It has to be set at 3500 iirc for the 787 if not its 3000 outside.
1500-1750 in the water

iirc is? im not sure i understand that? when i have the boat on the trailer, and with the throttle lever all the way down, the boat starts to stutor, and the rpms are around 800. What should it be set at?
