iam putting my motor back togher after a topend rebuild ,in my old 787 there was no fill plug, for the counterbalance oil ,so i had to put the oil in the cylinder and let it make its way to the counterbalance, this motor has a screw plug wich i cant seem to get lose, can i put the oil in the spark plug hole?in this motor well it reach the counterbalance? they are the same motor 787 ones just a year newer they are not rfi

nononononono....

that plug will loos'n, and when it does, fill it up with 1oz of 30wt oil.

I have read, though, that "some" engine builders, dont bother with put'n oil in there, since the "premix" will make its way in there, BUT..i'm not suggest'n it.

You need to get oil in there. It's for the balance shaft and when those bearings go dry bad things will happen - like a cracked block.

Open the filler and put some 1oz of oil in there. The later blocks I think have a connection from the main oil bath so they don't need a special fill
