I don't mess witht this ski much and it runs pretty good. At the very top of the RPM range I am getting a surge that is easily felt and heard. Skis is running 55mph on the GPS. I think the surge is costing me about 2mph. The ski has hit 57mph. I'm not sure what is causing it but now my mission is to track down the problem. 
I don't know where to start exactly. I rebuilt the carbs previously and pulled them once to check them out. All looks good, pop-off is 37psi. I will try to give it more fuel by opening the high speed adjusters. I restored the ski so the fuel system and everything is grade "A".
I checked the raves more than once and I probably looked at the water control valve but I can check that again. Thoughts are appreciated.
