96 spx warning lights

I have a 96 spx the battery light comes on and off and if I hit a bump (wave) all the lights come on and the fuel gauge reads full and another bump and they go off, Ideas??? sorry more info sometimes it doesn;t have any power to start i remove and replace the dess a couple of times and it seems ok again

Loose wire connector or female fuse holder. Bad VTS. Flywheel pick-up has metal
particals. Bad battery cables. Rectifier/regulator going south. broken wire in loom.
start/stop cracked switch. To name a few. ect. Bill

thanks sometimes it doesn;t have any power when i put the dess on and after a couple of tries sometimes it beeps and seems ok sometimes it starts but the dess does not beep

A 1996 SPX does not have DESS, unless you've installed a Dess Post and had the
MPEM programmed, there will be no beep beep. Overheat......it will beeeeeep. Ground
the temp sensor wire to a head bolt to hear or test the beeper/buzzer. Bills86e

Your MPEM 278000822 is DESS capeable. You will be opening your grey electrical
box to check for loose wires, ground lug, connections in there. Seadoo uses Black wires as all grounds.

Thanks. None of my '96 spx's have a DESS lanyard switch. Tho capeable.

I do have a '96 SPX box, $250 Paypal if interested. Its non dess, switch included.
