I just bought a 96 spx with the VTS not working. This is my first sea doo and I wanted everything working correctly. For a little hx, I own snowmobiles, motorcycles and lots of small engine stuff so I can turn a wrench. I paid the money for a new module and checked everything else out before reusing any old parts. After I reassembled I was not sure how to adjust the trim. Basically, I used the VTS gauge to center the sliding shaft, then measured the travel of the nozzle both up and down. I reassembled the rest of the linkage with the nozzle and sliding shaft centered. Is this the proper procedure? I have not had the sled out yet to see how it runs and I don't want to screw anything up so soon after the repairs. Thanks.

My opinion is to just disconnect the whole damn thing. I've gone through 4 brand units in the past 3 years and they cause nothin but trouble.

I haven't had one issue since disconnect and I just adjusted it slightly up from level
