I have a 96 Sea-doo Xp that I just bought a brand new battery for yesterday before I went on the water. I have noticed that when I hook the battery up I do her clicking coming from the dash or the front electrical box. Fast forward 5-6 hours later after the jet ski has ran for a couple times and sat a couple times in that time frame I was left with a dead battery. it seems to be that something is not turning off when the ski is sitting and the keys is not plugged in. Any help or suggestions? TIA

have you verified that the charging system is working?

First thing I would do if it was mine would be to check the battery voltage while resting, then check it while it's running...it should show some increase in voltage when it's running, indicating that it is charging the battery.

If it is not, your rectifier is probably toast
