96 sea doo gsx dess key issue?

So I fixed issues I was having with my 96 sea doo gsx charging and all other issues I had and it ran very well I had an instant though where I was riding and released throttle to 4000 rpms and it stopped dead I had hard time starting it back up and as I was trying 12v low kept popping up so I got it started headed home before it gave me any problems checked my battery and it was at 13v why would I get 12v low code if ski was charged also my dess key is old and I have a hard time getting it to register and I never get any beeps and screen doesn’t light up till I hit button could a bad dess key cause this issue

The DESS keys can be finicky for sure, and it’s very possible for it to lose communication and cause a shut off... If you’re not hearing any beeps at all, I would get the buzzer replaced before I did anything else. It will be a whole lot easier to figure out what it’s doing with that thing working.

As for the 12V low light, it should come on briefly when they key is put on the post, but I believe it should be off while cranking. Is the motor turning over when you have a hard time with it, or is it just dead until it recognizes the key?

I do know buzzer works sometimes I’ll get it to beep by bending dess and yea 12v does go out when cranking it cranks fine but shuts off at idle but will run full throttle all day carbs are clean idle is at 3000 out of water

When you cleaned the carbs, did you change any of the adjustment screw settings?
