Im going through my whole 96 gti since i have to put a new motor in it, and im wondering are those aftermarket mpem modules any good? I currently have one of those that came in my ski, i found it online for like 100$, And it seems to have worked fine for me, but i have a whole cdi box with the oem mpem and im wondering is the oem one better or more reliable? Is there a way to even test if it works aside from having it all hooked up? I also would need a key programmed for it since im missing it. Im wondering if this is causing an issue im having, which is every time i hit a bigger wave and land, my ski shuts right off but always turns back on. What all could cause this issue?
