Hey everyone, Just curious peoples thoughts on this. Just bought this 1999 GTX on the cheap knowing it had engine issues. Ski itself is MINT. Didn’t know how bad engine was at all as I couldn’t compression test it when I bought it due to dead battery. Didn’t even realize it had an SBT reman motor in it until I got it home. Comp checked it and had 120 psi in each hole. (I thought that was good news?) Then tried to start it up and it ran. Decided to pull top end and found this mucky mess. Head gasket leak or leaking water from somewhere else? Or did it get rolled and suck water? Seller never said a word about that if that’s what happened. I’m confused as to why the studs are so corroded. Just curious your thoughts as I know there are some wicked smart people on here. Thanks

Engine is done and needs a full rebuild. It was not running with water in it or the pistons and head would be perfectly clean from steam cleaning of the water and combustion. It got water in it after the fact.
