95 XP Boggs down at/ near top speed

Last year I put a new 717 in my XP, and had it mostly broken in before the weather was too cold to ride. I winterized it last year and everything this year seemed to be running great. Same tank of gas from last year and fresh plugs. Ski starts up and idles great. First time putting it in the water this year it ran great and accelerated good but at or near top speed it bogs down and there is no throttle response until it gets down to idle, then you can take off again with no problem. Any consistent throttle over idle it bogs down. Carbs rebuilt, all new fuel lines, and fuel selector, and I only run rec fuel in it.

Any thoughts/ ideas are greatly appreciated

Fuel starvation perhaps,,,usually carb related ssince you replaced the fuel lines and selector...pulse line secured?,,,eliminate the carbs from the equation,,,BUT,,,,did you use aftermarket carb kit,,,if yes,,,they will NOT work!

I know for a fact they are mikuni carbs kits.
