Hey guys i have a 95 xp 720. i just tried to get my ski out and up and running for the up coming season but it seems to have other plans. I go to start it and it will run for about 5 to 8 seconds then cut off. When it cuts off the over heat light beeps and blinks 2 times. It wont run long enough to get get hot. I have it hooked up the the hose ready but cant get it running long enough to turn it on. Now this is what really is stumping me. I unhooked the plug coming out of from the top front of the mpem and it runs fine. its the one that is coming out of the same hole that the temp sensor is coming out of. Any suggestions? thanks guys

Look in your manual in last pages, it has the wireing diagram and the color code of
what is going where. Seadoo black wires are ground wires, if that helps.

ok so i went and looked on the ski. Its red with a purple strip on it. I looked it up in my manual and its going from my gauge to my eletronic module. So would it be the gauge or the module?

It runs when you unplug the sensor on the engine, or the gauge itself? The sensor is probably cheap to replace if thats all it is. Can you find anything about beep codes?

its not a sensor it runs from my gauge to my eletronic module thats it. it just has a connector outside of the mpem
