Hello, I am a newb to this Forum and seadoo's in general but have had Standup skis for the last 20 years and have rebuilt several. I bought a 95 Sportster a year ago and am just getting around to working on it. It will start and rev up/run on the trailer. It will also start and run in the water but as soon as I try to accelerate it bogs and then sometimes dies. It acts like it is running out of fuel. Here is what I have done.......
Checked fuel supply. There are no leaks or obstructions.
Compression is @ 130/135.
Carbs disassembled and cleaned, new diaphrams.
Pump is free from obstructions.
I put a clear automotive filter in line so I could watch fuel flow but it looks like it runs out of fuel at high RPMs and then recovers at low RPM. Any help is appreciated. I have it scheduled to go to mechanic this Saturday and I'm not so sure they will know any more than I do. The local seadoo dealer refused to work on this boat because it wasn't purchased there and because it is "too old".
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
