95 Sea-Doo XP

Update: I have gotten the ski started. As it turns out, there was a clog somewhere in the carbs causing the compression to be extremely high. I managed to get it to run for about 10 seconds and it was all good. I now have moved on to pulling and rebuilding the carbs as well as im working on replacing the oil and fuel lines. My next thing I would like to address is the fuel tank. I have been seeing a lot about recalls and cracking. I am yet to inspect my tank but before I go further, was there a recall on the 95 xps? If so, how do I get a hold of a new tank.

The carbs will not cause high compression.

For the tank recall, call the seadoo customer service number and have them check your HIN. They will tell you if you qualify for a new tank.

I guess I'm not exactly sure what made it so hard for the starter then. It may have possibly been just the new battery I bought that helped, but either way, the carbs are a rusty corroded disaster.

Im going to give brp a call today about the tank.
