My GTX is taking on too much water. I pulled the seat off while it was running in the lake and I can't see anything obvious, but I do see that where the driveshaft goes through the hull, the cover (that looks like a hose) turns. The clamps are tight, it is the whole assembly turning. I can pull the hose looking part about 1/2 inch forward. On my other boat this piece won't move at all. Any ideas?

The carrier bearing went ungreased and now the bearings are rusted n falling out,
when greased, it keeps water out. You'll have to pull jetpump & shaft out to replace
that part. It has a zerk fitting on it. The PTO also has a zerk. You need to inspect the driveshaft splines & PTO internal splines now. When was last maintenance?

Thanks for the help, problem fixed! The bearing was sticking enough that it was turning the knurled aluminum piece in the hull. I took the pump out, epoxied in the piece, freed up and greesed the bearing, and reassembled. Worked like a charm! The hardest part was tracking down the right epoxy!
