Hi all-

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 94 SPX which is a great runner, but has two problems. The major one is that the instrument cluster was dead when I took it out of storage this year. Nothing works at all except the led that indicates low gas. That is on all the time. Everything else is dead.. no gas guage, no VTS indicator, nothing.

I am hoping that, since all this happened at once, there is one root cause. Where should I look first? I downloaded the service manual, but not being familiar with these systems I am not sure where to start.

Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated!

Also, (an easy one I hope) it is missing the handle grip on one of the handles. Can anyone suggest a source for a replacement?

Thanks!
Dave

Classified for used serviceable parts or nick@westsidepowersports is a great re-seller.
Look at your manual's wire diagram. The gauges are daisy chained, on feeds power to the next. Then read manual on testing each component. Check, clean, dielectrical grease each connector.
Next, completely dis-connect the VTS harness, just to rule that VTS out.

Thanks for the tip and the source for parts. I will check the wiring diagrams and see what is first in the chain and go from there!
