heres the long story short

bought a 94 sp and it ran great for awhile until it siezed.
bought a new sbt motor and did all proper breaking in procedures and the motor ran flawlessly.....for awhile.

i started having fuel issues, from what i could tell my fuel selector was clogged and i than ran it for a few hours on reserve and it ran fine once again.

last day i had it out, it locked up...tried turning the pto and it was locked solid...since my block was on warranty from sbt(great company to deal with btw) i shipped it back and awaiting the second block.

so after all that my big question is, and maybe its a dumb one but....did my fuel issues lead to the engine siezing again??????????

any comments are greatly appreiciated!!!!

great thanks i appreciate the advice...i am currently in the process of replacing all those old grey fuel lines and cleaning the carb as well as the fuel selector. if this sport wasn't so addictive i would have gave up on this machine after the first motor, but all i wanna do is be on the water!!!!

thanks again

Speaking from my own experiences (I learn everything the hard way) I would definitly say that you "leaned" out one or both of the cylinders. 2cycle engines don't like "lean."
If you are concerned about your oil pump, they can be bench tested to make sure thay are working properly. In your shop manual it will show you how this task can be performed in good detail.
Make sure you prime your oil pump when you get your new engine installed. Above all make sure the linkage is set properly. There will be a line on the linkage and a line on the pump. These lines must align with each other at idle setting, other wise your oil pump might not work properly.
The first tank you run through your ski should be premix just to make sure everything is working properly. If it is not then you haven't trashed another engine.
