93 gtx not running right

My 93 seadoo 587 runs just fine out of the water but when I start it and try to take off in the water in bogs down. It ran perfect last time I had it out. And now I did experiment a little bit and found that when I would take the seat off it would run better then with the seat on so I’m thinking something to do with intake or carb idk. There’s no fuel in the cycling era or anything like that. I also replaced plugs.

Exhaust leak? Runs better with ‘fresh air’.

That would make sense..still just makes me wonder tho because I I don’t think it still runs too notch wen the seat is off. I mean it definitely runs way butter but still not 100% I don’t think

Have you rebuilt the carb yet?

Nope, I know it needs carb work and I thaught maybe that’s the issue too. Maybe I’ll just start there.

I can not locate any sort of exhaust leak
