Okay, I'm really frustrated at this point. Compression is 120 on both cylinders. I have had the carbs rebuilt by the dealer, bypassed the fuel selector switch, replaced the bowl filter with an in line filter. The lines have been replaced with black by the previous owner. It revs wild at idle out of the water and in the water won't accelerate without giving it choke. Sounds like an air leak, right? I replaced the gaskets at the base of the carbs and used sealant. I replaced the o-ring at the intake manifold. I checked the rotary valve, and if I read the instructions correctly it is correct. I haven't got a fuel pressure gauge, but when I hold my finger over the intake hose it doesn't feel like I'm getting much pressure. I don't know what else to do. Would it hurt to put a cheap 12v in line fuel pump in front of the carbs?

no need. re-check the fuel line, make sure it aint going to wrong fittings, make sure the "on" fitting on the tank, is capped off, and using the "res" fitting to the inline filter, then filter to carb. Other line from carb, goes right to tank "ret".

If you need to pull the choke, then you have fuel delivery prob/carb-n/s assy problem.

Just rechecked all the lines. They're all going to the right places.

Check the screen at the bottom of th baffel in the fuel tank... I just a similar problem with a 95.. I cut out the sceen and all was good... For some reson it was restircting the fuel flow..

One of the first things I did was check the baffle and I found the lines inside the tank rotted and the screens were in the bottom of the tank. I took the tank right out, flushed it out, and reinstalled it and replaced the baffle lines. I've also had every gas line apart and blown them all out.
I told you, I think I've tried everything.

sounds to me like you have a cold blooded machine have you checked the filter maybe your plugged or also make sure theres no water in there umm that what i can think of off the top of my head.
