As you can see by my avatar I have a blue 90 Bombardier Seadoo SP and a white Bombardier Seadoo Sp. I purchased these at the beginning of the season for a song from my inlaws. Tried new batteries and couldnt get the blue one to fire and couldnt even get the white one to crank over. I took the 2 of them to the only authorized place around me. The blue one only needed a tune up and few minor things and the white one was siezed solid and needed a whole rebuild. So $2000 later and there both good to go.
Since getting the two of them back i have had them out 6 times or so. The blue one has been awsome running great no issues except i had the exaust pipe come loose on me once so i check them every time now.
The white one however has been a bit tricky for me. When i get it out the i can get it started but i cant let it idle or it will stall. However if i give it gas and go and dont let it idle its fine. I can then run topped out for about 15 mins or so and then it starts to bog out and act funny and i have to fiddle with the choke just to get it back in. I spoke to the dealer and even brought them in and he figure it was a carb adjustment. I am new to this forum but have been reading various posts regarding these older models.
This one i came across the other day http://server1.sbtontheweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7446
mentions a fule venting issue recall after reading this i had a look and sure enough the white one has 2 vents yet only one vent hole and is blocked by the foam on the hood and the blue one has only one that is clear.
Then it clicked to me that i remeber noticing on countless occasions that when the white one would be acting sketchy when i would bring it in and open the front hood a loud whistling would come from these vents.
So what i wondering if this could be my problem or is there possibly sometihng else going on.. i have replaced the foam and drilled new holes in the front hood
As other posts have mentioned i checked for gray fuel lines and they are all black. I am running the bobardier recommended oil.
Any help would be appreciated as i am stumped but want this thing to be reliable when i go out.
