The small oil lines both have a bubble in them, I tried holding the oil pump full open at idle, but they are still there.

Also on the pump, I have the idle set and the pump marks lined up. When I pull to full throttle with the engine off the pump does not pull full open, is this normal?

Just replaced whole fuel system, rebuilt carb, and replaced the oil filter.

Did you just replace the lines? if yes. did you bleed the main oil line to the pump with the bleed screw?

Another thing to check is the pressed in fitting on the oil pump where the main oil feed line attaches. I had one almost falling out and it caused bubbles in my lines. Luckily I caught it and replaced the pump before it did any damage.

What oil are you running?

Your pump has the check valves at the pump and just a brass tube at the end where the bubble is. As long as it’s flowing oil and no other bubbles it should be ok. Try running it again with the pump pulled open and see if they go away. They might just be draining the brass tube when the engine is off.

That’s way too long on the hose. You’ll burn up your carbon seal. They need lake water to cool. Only a couple minutes max.
