i didnt want to thread jack anyone so i decided to make my own thread. sorry if this upsets anyone.
Anyway i bought a brand new 2012 rxpx 260 last year late in the season so i only have 8 hours on it b4 i had to have it winterized. im getting it ready for the summer soon. just wondering what if any mods you guys suggest for it. i saw few threads talking about a speed control over ride module or something? i dont want to go to crazy with it. im pretty happy with what it is so far. but if there are stock limiters and stuff like that then yea i deff want them gone to get the full potential out of how it is stock. maybe in the future when i get more time on it ill do sum crazy upgrades to it but i dont feel its needed at the moment. thanks in advance for any help you guys can give

Riva has a stage 1 for not a lot of money that will wake it up. If you plan on modding more extensively maybe a Riva/Athena ECU would be a nice place to start. They claim a good improvement over stock even on a stock ski.

thanks for the responces guys. deff looks like that might be the way to go for me. stuffs deff not cheap tho lol gonna have to think about it. ill wait till i get it out on the water and see how it performs this year. does any of this stuff void the warranty?

All of it voids the warranty. However, your dealer may overlook some things. I know my dealer is very lenient regarding mods. As long as I didn't tear into the motor and mod it he's willing to work with me and look the other way unless the problem was caused directly by a particular mod.

Denzel, we haven't really made it obvious, but you can save 10% off everything on PWCMuscle using the coupon code "SDF10". Better than the 7% special promo being ran right now.

thanks joez ill deff look into that

i havent really researched it much yet but i will but so far i have seen some ppl sayin not to use riva stuff cuz it sucks. Like i said i really dont want to go crazy with the upgrades at this point. just would like simple stuff like takeing off the oem speed control and what ever other stuff like that there is that holds this thing back...the stage 1 kit seems good, but $800 for 3 mph doesnt seem to be worth it. even the stage 4 kit at almost $8000 to go from 70 to 80 seems not worth it to me. im pretty happy with how fast it is already just want to get rid of any oem restrictions. maybe later on when i have more then 8 hours on it ill drop some money into it. im dropping it off at my dealer tomorrow to get it ready for summer and ill talk to them about some stuff see wat they say.

yea im not really sure which way i would like to go yet. i guess either would work. obviously the athena has way more adjustability but also alot more cost...what other oem limits are there? i think i read boost limit and rpm limit?

on another note i dropped it off at the dealer today to get it dewinterized and to fix the issues i had with it last year. the dealer i bought it from was supposed to have fixed it but didnt so i went to a new dealer. they seem to be a realy good group of guys and make me feel confident that they actually want to get the issues worked out for me so i can have a pleasnt experiance with it. they actually seemed a lil ticked of that i bought a brand new jetski and was havein these issues and really wanted to rectify it for me. the service manager and mehanic both said its sad because their really good machines...issues arent to serious as far as the ski goes, my main issue was with the dealer i bought it from, they robbed me basicly. but the actual issues with the ski incase you guys are wondering are. 1. the flush hose where you screw it in on the back of the ski pulled out of the hull when i tried to unscrew the flush kit. the oring around it was no good and the plastic o ring was cracked. original dealer said the fixed it, but they didnt. they just screwed it back in with no oring or seal of any kind. new dealer said it probably would have taken on water like that and possibly sank. also on the inside of the hull towards the back in the center under wat i think is the big black intake tube. the hull it self is melted. looks like original dealer took a torch to it or something. newguys said their gonna take pics send it to seadoo make sure its safe and sea worthy. last but not least the vts isnt wokin properly. if i just press the buttonfor each step up or down it shows the guage movin in that direction but then jumps to bottom or top. if i hold the button then it moves up or down on the guage fine but doesnt move the actual vts correctly either way. and if i remember correctly i was only hittin high 50's to low 60's on top end but ill see that when i get it in the water this year.

my 2012 does that vts thing to seems like when i press it to quickly repeatedlyit jumps but if i press it like once every 1 second its fine or if i hold it its fine

It's supposed to jump to a preset setting if you press it twice quickly. Perfectly normal.
