2008 Sea Doo GTX 215 No more spedo

Hi guys,

Went out today and rode it for a while. I noticed a beep once no litghts no nothing and later on I notice my spedo shows 0 miles all the time...

What should I check ?

What have you checked? I'd start with the fuses. That lone beep you heard while riding sounds like there may have been an electrical short which popped a fuse.

And give people just a little time here George, when you post late at night on a holiday weekend you're not likely to get an instant reply back. LOL!

thanks Michael. I checked the fuses small ones and they all look ok any other places I should check for fuses ?

Most GTX 4tecs have a analog (needle) and a digital speedo read out. If so, do both read zero?

mine has only a digital one

I know this seems really obvious, but is the little spinning wheel still attached to the pickup sensor at the stern of the hull? I've heard of them going AWOL before for no obvious reason....

hey Mike yeah that little spinning wheel it`s still there..will take the jet ski in the water tmr.... but yeah i heard that beep yesterday look at the gauges saw nothing and then after 2 hours i realize i had no more speed indication its 0 lol

Hmmmm.... I dunno. No good ideas here. Maybe pull your ground cable off the battery and let it sit overnight, then reconnect it and take it to the lake and try it again?

i heard it can be a sensor somewhere.... anyone else with more experience of this sensor ?

took it today to the water and it magically worked again lol !! crazy..and i heard that beep again .. ?when jumping some waves

That sure makes me think something is shorting somewhere George... idk. :-\
