Hi Guys,

Look at the picture I took from under my 2008 RXP-X seadoo. It looks like one blade of my impeller is chipped.

Am I right ? Is it dangerous to use it ?

Thanks for your feedback!

Dangerous? No. Do I advise you to use it like that? No.

A gouge like that will diminish performance by quite a bit and cause vibration. Extended use like that isn't good.

yeah i agree with KK.. i wouldnt use it with a blade like that..

it will work but not to its full potential.. perfect time to upgrade to a solas

Hey Guys,

First of all, if you were following my previous post, my hull is now repaired and it looks like new.

As for the impeller, I feel soooooo stupid! I took the picture from under and from an angle. After looking a second time, the blade is 100% fine. What you see in front of the blade is plastic from the venture/impeller housing! It was taken from an angle and when looking at the picture you think the blade is missing a piece!

I just took this seadoo that I just purchased for a first ride and OHH MY GOD!!

My old seadoo (which I sold 2 years ago) was an XP Limited 951cc.. I though that was fast!!!

This RXP-X 255 is a beast! I hit 70mph in no time! Looks like it could go faster but is locked at 70 mph??

Is the RXP-X 255 suppose to go faster than 70 ?

Thanks guys!

Put it on GPS and see. They should be able to hit 75 with some minor mods. Speedo stops at 70 is notoriously inaccurate.

KK,

I will try that next time.. So far my RXP-X 255 is dead stock. Are you saying that my speedo should go further than 70 or you are saying that they do in fact stop at 70 ?

Thanks!

It does stop there no matter how fast you go. It uses a stupid paddle wheel sensor that only reads up to 70. You should see close to that on GPS stock or maybe a little more but I doubt that. My speedo was pegged at 70 and GPS was reading 66. Now after a few mods speedo reads 68 and GPS 69.8 or close to that. They're more commonly referred to as dream-o-meters
