2007 speedster 215hp sc/ic digital display

The factory display in this boat is toast, sun decay yand water intrusion. The replacement is between 599 and 899 or more, and i dont want to spend that much.
there are aftermarket displays out there, has anyone tried them? ive heard they wont show hours....is there any other alternative or another model that will work?

From what I have read the NMEA gauges doo have the hour meter.

mine looks like this. it says in the manual that the display is lit when nav lights are on. a friend said that is the main difference with ski and boat displays.

The posted picture is for a ski as it has the VTS (trim) meter. A boat cluster does not have it. Its the portion to the left of the MPH part.
