Sea doo dealer told me VCM is bad.
Sometimes it will run, but its real erratic. One time it kept running when the key was taken out. Seemed like it used a little more oil when this starting happening, seen more oil in bilge area.
Dash gauges stopped working also.
I found a used VCM in California. But the salvage yard says it should be installed by a seadoo dealer and has to have new key made. Only problem is, the seadoo dealer won't install any used parts. But they will program a new key if everything else is working.
VCM looks like you just screw it in and plug couple wiring harnesses into it. Is there anything that would require a dealer other than programming a key?
