2005 GTI LE RFI Problem

It idles fine but when I give it gas it sounds like the impeller doesnt want to turn and I see smoke coming out of the back and will get a bad vibration when I let off the gas. I put it in the water and does the same but it does all of a surge when I give it full throttle. It acts like the impeller tries to kick in but cant.

Sounds like something is caught in your impeller and rubbing against the plastic wear ring (causes smoke and vibration). Look in the back jet pump area and also pull the intake grate and look in there with a flashlight

Yeah, it sounds like you've maybe sucked up some stones. Try checking your impeller, there is maybe a stone or something caught in between the blades of your impeller. Let me know what you find out
