2004 Seadoo gtx has strut mount place?

Hi,

Recently bought my first jetski! 2004 seadoo gtx limited supercharged.

One thing I’ve noticed is the gas strut is missing for the front hood. I’ve seen all the posts and info about installing a new strut but by the looks of it the lower mounting point is missing. I can’t find I photo of this.

Can anyone supply a photo of what It should look like and where the strut mounts onto the inside of the hull?

If I recall it goes down to the storage compartment where the bow eye is on the inside. I think there is a plastic panel that pops off to reveal it.

My 05 had the upper mount broken off. I fabricated a metal one

Perfect!! That’s exactly what I needed! That metal base plate is missing on mine. I’ll have to find one or make something up. Much appreciated, thank you!
