New owner of a used 2003 GTI LE RFI and have a vibration near the rear engine shaft area. I wrote another thread to this problem and am checking into those answers that were prescribed by this website.
My new question is how much movement should an engine have inside the hull before you suspect a bad mount. My machine engine does rock left to right somewhat but not front to back. I'm not sure if that is normal. Is there an easy way to test the mounts? While it idles I can put my hand on the engine and stop it from vibrating.
