My 2002 utopia has difficulties starting after it has been sitting for a week or two. I believe the fuel from the tank to the fuel pump is draining back into the tank. I have checked the hose and there are no leaks of air getting in. Is there something in the fuel pump like a check valve or ball valve that stops the fuel from draining back into the tank.
It will start very easily every day or two but if I leave it for a week or more it is extremely difficult to start. I have even had to hook 12 V directly onto the fuel pump to keep it running and after about 30 seconds it draws enough fuel to push through to the carbs

Still having problems! Need advice.
Boat in heated storage. Starts fine every day or two. But, if left for a week or more very difficult to start. Cranking for 2 or 3 minutes or more (on and off) battery on a tender with full charge.
I think it’s lacking fuel. Replaced anti siphon valve at fuel tank & filter.
Starts a little easier if I press the button on the cold start solenoid.
What to check next???

Check fuel delivery from both pumps.

Do you have any gray fuel lines? They have a history of failing and blocking flow.

All the fuel lines are black but I am going to replace most of them anyways.
I have disconnected the fuel line at the top carburetor and when I crank the key I have fuel/oil mixture coming out. I finally got the air intake off the carburetors so I could check out all of the fuel line connections. I did find one of the lines that comes off the Top carburetor into the cold start solenoid had a loose clamp. There was a bit of fuel on the carb below. I’m wondering if it’s just dripping fuel out of the connection at the top carburetor over a long period of time.
