I just got my hands on an '02 RX that hasn't been run in about 3 years. I was told the last time out it had bogging issues and the guy never wanted to deal with it. It only has 90 hours on it.
So... Long story short I rebuilt the carbs and found a bad check valve in the pulse pump. So, I put it back together and it starts right up but as soon as i start to close the choke the motor starts to run away. The idle adjuster is backed all the way out. The motor also just pours out white smoke while running.
Any ideas whats wrong? Did I miss something in the carb rebuild? Is the excessive white smoke and high rpm related?
I've rebuilt carbs on lots of sea doos over the years and never had this problem.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
