2001 RX Please help!

I have a 2001 RXDI and it's been running fine for the last few weeks when I bought it, and then the other day we put it in the water and when it starts, it shakes as if it's misfiring on a cylinder and then gives a maintenance warning and light and then shuts down. Funny thing is though, when you take it out of the water and hook it up to a hose, it still gives the maintinence warning and light, but it doesn't shake real bad and shut down. I changed the spark plugs and it's still the same. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I have the same issue with my 01 RXDI. Last season when I took it out for the first time It acted just as you describe except it didn't shut down. I sat at the dock and let it run for about 20min reving the engine every so often and then it just took off. Ran like a champ the rest of the season. Now here I am once again and the same issue. I hooked it up to a hose after4 charging the battery to make sure it would start and run good before I hit the water for the season and the maint req is back on the screen. Please help. Any ideas???

i got the maint light on mine once it hit 100 hrs round a bout. push and hold the set button for 2 seconds or so until it goes away once you get the maint light after plugging the key in. this will tell you that this is just a scheduled maint update. as far as the rough running, my rx gave me the same issues.... clean the carbs....really thats what fixed mine

2001 rx di sea doo

hi my name is mark. i took my sea doo out the other day was in the water the engine is still on and runing poerful but the impeller is no longer turning. there is nothing jamed up in it all . is there any common known problem with these model for mabye bushings going out or something from imbetween the drive shaft and impellar?
