I just verified that my front cylinder has 60 psi and my rear has 130 psi, is there any thing else that can cause the low compression like a head gasket? Also is it silly just to give it a ring job or should I do a complete rebuild. Its had a pretty easy life.

Thanks
John

If I pull the top end and the bottom looks good I only do a top end. I spend a lot of time looking and listening. Way cheaper and quicker to do the top end and you're riding again in a few days. ( $250 in parts VS about $650) When you change all those parts you are introducing a whole lot of variables. Most times I leave the engines in the skis for top ends. It's always a pain in the azz but a lot less work as long as it comes apart fairly easy. :) Good luck whatever you decide.

If that's a. 785,,,you can do the Pistons in the hull.
I did 951's in the hulls as well. I just finished a 2003 RX DI. Sometimes you look at those 3 bolts holding the engine in, and you are bent over the side rail reaching in and wonder if it is worth it. :) LOL
