Hi all.....

I recently purchased a 2001 GTX from a dealer. Put it in water for first time. It ran about 10 minutes and the hull filled up with water. Engine hardly ran. No holes in hull. Plugs were in...........Dealer looked at it said there was no problem. I picked it up ...headed for lake. Launched it. About ten minutes later............same problem.

Rest assured I'm heading back to dealership Monday am.... Has anyone experienced anything like this?????

Thanks for your input!!!!!

I have a 1998 GTX Limited too and after I bought it the first time I took it out, it also filled up. I took it to the guy I bought it from who runs a sea doo business, he looked in the back of the ski where the water comes out and found that there was only one rubber tube which pulls the water in and out of the ski when there is supposed to be two. Sorry I was rather new with everything. Have a look, let me know!

Thanks!!!

It was just that. The rubber coupler around drive shaft had cracks. As it sat idling it would not take on water. Once you took it out on the lake and put it " under-a-load" she took on water like a bad storm. It actually "shredded as the "Tech" was riding it............

Mark that one in the "Log book"!!!

thanks,
