Hi guys. New to the forum and the seadoo world. Acquired a new one today. It is a 01 GTX Rotax Fuel Injected (RFI) in the 110hp, 787, model. Had a real tough time out on the water today and don't know why
Being a mechanic for 28+ years I've got quite a big experience with engines and I also owned 3 previous seadoo, 2 of which are two stroke. But with this machine, I'm stuck and cannot figure out what is wrong with it
Got out to the water today and it had a real tough time cranking over. Once I finally got the machine running it would idle fine in the water. Then I'd start going along nice and easy and the machine kept stalling on me and most of the time had a tough time cranking over again. After numerous minutes and times stalling I said that's enough, packed up and went home which was very disappointing. Charged the battery up before I got to the water as and it needed a charge when I got home. My guess is from all the cranking it had to do
When I had it sitting on the trailer at home it would start up first try and was fine revving up. Wouldn't stall out or anything. I was checking gas lines and fuel pumps. Everything looked fine and always hfuel pumps start up. Thought it might of been pump based on how it was acting in water. While I was peeking around in the engine bay, I noticed that one of the line coming from the oil canister had turned a dark brown then a very cloudy white of a suddenwhich I didn't understand. Still can't figure out the problem.
Anyone with any ideas please let me know. Want to avoid dealership costs as much aspossinle . Thank you for your time
Also machine on,y has 22 hours on it. Don't know if that is relevant or not
