2000 XP Seat Ripped

I just got a 2000 XP a few weeks ago, it was in mint condition, I've had it on the lake ever since then. This weekend I noticed the seat split after coming in from riding. I checked on getting just the cover and foam, it's over $300. Is there a easy, cheap way to fix this problem?? Thanks

Cutout the bad foam, replace with foam from an oold sofa cushion, glue it to the stock foam with contact cement. Seat covers can probably be had on ebay for 100~.
