I got a 2000 gtx RFI that starts and idles about 1800 on trailer but when in water drops to around 900 and when you hit the throttle it just bogs and wont take off. Here is what has been done. Compression 150 both cylinders, new fuel pump and regulator, new 4 tec rectifier, new rotary valve and re surfaced manifold plate clearance and timing is good. I had dealer set closed position on TPS. I have tested all sensors and they ohm out good. Rectifier is charging good as well. the funny part is when I unplug the hose off the rave solenoid It idles up to about 1500 in the water and I can get it to take off and run but it is only turning about 6200 RPM and has kind of a miss to it every once in a while. I am putting a fuel pressure gauge on it tonight to test pressure. But with new fuel pump and regulator there was no change. Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

I would have the tps checked again. Maybe try a different dealer. Most dealers aren’t very familiar with the older machines.

I ordered a candoo pro the other day. I am thinking the dealer backed the idle screw off till it was no longer in contact with the throttle cam. But If you don't loosen the throttle cable the butterfly could still be open and if you set closed position there it isn't right. Hard to trust dealers sometimes. He swore up and down it was right but the day I got it back from them I went to the lake and it would just bog and not even take off also the red light was flashing and maintenance still scrolling across gauge. Why wouldn't they clear that when they had buds on it?? makes me wonder.

The problem is that almost all Seadoo dealers wont work on the 2 strokes or don't know how anymore. All the techs want to do is plug in their computer and have it tell them what's wrong and if it doesn't they have no clue and just start throwing parts at it on your dime.

Well got my candoo pro and got it all hooked up and reset all fault codes. Ran it and I keep getting p0122 TPS under low limit. This is after re setting tps at closed position then turning in 3 turns. When I check with multimeter everything checks out okay. Anyone had this before?
