i have a chalanger 2000 has a merc 240 efi in it ant it bounces any body else have this prob and what to do to fix it went to sea doo dealer said something wrong with jet pump wear ring is good just changed oil any suggestions was looking at putting trim tabs on it

Huh??? Can you retype that???

Yeah, what he said! {grin}

But I'll take a shot... I think his boat is porpoising, hence the reference to trim tabs.

"adarbo218", all you need to do is lower the jetdrive's built-in trim plate. It's at the very bottom and rear of the jetdrive, under the steering nozzle. It's a flat plate with two bolts through its back end. The bolts are backed by nuts. Loosen the nuts, lower the plate about 1/2 turn of the bolts ("lowering" in this context means unscrew the bolts 1/2 turn each), retighten the nuts, and test. Repeat until you get the performance you want.

The tradeoff is potential top speed for faster planing and less porpoising, so don't go too far. Take it in slow steps, and always adjust the bolts in identical increments together so the plate stays level.
