2 Questions for Boaters.... 1. Do you mostly boat by yourself? 2. How much gas?

I just wanted to ask this question because I wanted to know if Im the only one in this position..

Its harder for me to get anyone to go with me on my boat, my girlfriend is sick of it, my kids are sick of it to..

1. So do you guys normally go by yourself?


I was talking to a friend boater of mine, and he told me that on his 25 foot boat, he would go through a lot of gas?? wow

2. How much gas do you guys normally use in one day?

i have to beat people off with a stick. i actually put up a sign next to my "water toy stable" reading: "if you self-invite yourself or try to talk me into taking you to the lake, you WILL NOT set foot on my boats or skis!!"

so unless i want someone to go with me i do usually go by myself. when i'm on the lake, i'm free. i can forget about the rest of the world, all my stress and problems and simply ride. i normally don't like people in my space when i'm out.

as for fuel, what is hard to push thought, so your going to use fuel. if i just take my skis out i use about 10 gallons of fuel, my boat uses about 10-15 gallons. the trick to fuel economy is to get on plane quick and then back down to 3/4 throttle.

hey cheappc .. i have the same seadoo challenger n lucky me i got it with a friend of mine we from nyc n YES we go throught alot i mean alot of gas every week is $175 plus foos n drinks n all that my girl friend n kids hate it to i gues u n me r in the same boat lol there but me him still love it we fish or ride the tube, board or race other people we now n most of the time we use the hole tank of gas well good luck n if u in NY hit me up maybe we can meet up

lol, Im originally from New York, Queens, Elmhurst Queens, lol where Eddie Murphy shot that movie "Coming to America" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coming_to_America, I actually worked for that Wendy's on Elmhurst Ave. (they renamed it mcdowells). Anyways thats funny, also "purple_people_eater", wow, I guess I think my friends are getting sick of me constantly in "repairing my boat" mode.

I trully want to get to the bottom of my boat and not have any more problems. The reason I asked that question about the gas, is I guess Im really lucky? I think I go out about 3 hours on my boat, and I swear I dont think I even use 2 gallons? am I crazy? or something is not right?
