1999 GTX/RFI no Spark

I bought a 1999 GTX RFI about a year ago. It had sat at the old owners house for over 4 years. The rear electric box was taken apart like they were trying to fix something electric. I'm a tech by trade. (Computers and shade tree mechanic).
The motor was locked up because the bottom shaft was frozen, I got the motor free and when I connect the lanyard I get the 2 beeps and the motor will turn over but no spark.
I checked the service manual and no 12vdc is getting to the Ignition coil. It says it's either the harness or the MPEM.
Question, when I bought the sky there were two skys and only one lanyard. If this is the wrong lanyard I shouldn't get two beeps and it shouldn't turn over right?

I opened the watertight box and looked at the MPEM, all fuses were good. If I need another MPEM does anyone know of an aftermarket for a 1999 GTX/RFI ??? (Checked Seadoosource.com but he didn't have that model & Year)

Any advise would REALLY be appreciated. First Jetsky.

Magnito pluged in?

Twoo beeps means the mpem has recognized the key and is armed to start the engine. The rear box can get wet (five years ago) and gets corroded. Clean all the terminals, and wire connections. You may have a bad coil if you
are getting a pulse from Stator (engine front). You'd have to loosen front mount and put a wood block under engine to get the front cover off. Bill

Thanks for the key info.
When I have the Battery hooked up and hit the start switch the engine turns over. I first ran it with plugs out to see spark but got none. Then I unplugged the primary side of the Coil and no voltage, hit the start and still no voltage. Where does the feed on the primary of the coil come from? Directly from the Magneto?

Sorry I'm so ignorant, the wiring harness is confusing to trace and the wiring diagram show the Magneto going to the Rectifier then to the starter solenoid.

The rear box does have some corrosion.
Will a multimeter see a pulse going to the coil?
Thanks again Bill, I just hope your a patient man.

Lighting & generating coils produce Alternating Current, then goes thru the Rectifier
and is converted into Direct current that the mpem uses to function, distribute and control timing of the multiple componets. The battery uses the direct current
to recharge its cells. That said, start checking the parts in the order of origin.
Hope this helps, a manual will be more help! Bill
