1998 Seadoo Gtx Waterchannel cover

Hi, I have a 1998 Seadoo Gtx Rfi. I have water leaking from the water channel cover. Also the seadoo shuts off after 5 min on the water. It would still turn over in the water but wouldn't start. It started a hour later on the trailer. Does the leak have anything to do with it shutting off?Any help would be appreciated thanks

I am not sure what a "water channel cover" is?

It is at the very bottom on the engine. Number 7 and number 8.

We refer to that as the case cooler.

If it is leaking you could technically be overheating but that wouldn't be really common.

Oh okay thanks. If it was over heating would it turn over and not start?
