Hey everyone last weekend I took the GSX out to the lake for the first time this year...

This happened
http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?p=113914#post113914
Long story short in that thread, hull filled up about 1/3 of the way with water, got it all drained within 5 minutes and there was no water in any electrical boxes or the cylinders.

Took it out again today and it starts right up. Idles around 1400-1500 RPMs. VERY strong (as usual) off the bottom end, will hit top speed around 62, then about every 2 seconds RPM will drop to about 5800 and back up to around 6500 and will KEEP doing this over and over at full throttle?

Will idle for days without cutting out, seems to be running great at all speeds and full rpm range except for the full throttle problem.... ALSO from idle if you go STRAIGHT to full throttle it will bog down and then after a moment go to full throttle

Any ideas??? old gas, old oil? gas and oil both from last season... could this be the problem? Spark plugs?? carb? hopefully nothing serious!

Any input very helpful! also if you have an idea let me know how to troubleshoot to test it out!

taking out and cleaning the rave valves right now.. hope it works

wow the rave valves were DISGUSTING dirty... had a full coat of BLACK on the valves... cleaned them up w/ silicon spray metal lubricant and 600 grit sandpaper... reinstalled everything and starts right up still so that made me feel good ha... will take it back out tomorrow afternoon after work to see how it worked....

Please still help me out!
I don't know if this worked or not so any other ideas help me out!

Hey, did you stabilize the fuel in the tank from last season? if not it sounds like your carb filters, or your carbs have gummed up, bad gas varnish's and causes trouble. Sound like one of your jets is clogging.
