ok guys, i need your help! Both of my jet skis are leaking water into the head (both heads). I got the boats out to crank, attached the hose, turned it on and motor would not turn over. pulled the plugs and water is pouring out of both spark plug holes. I have tore the motor down to the crank shaft and the crank case is full of water! We have inspected everything down to the crank and don't see any cracks any where. Could this be just one of the big O rings on top of the motor or a head gasket???

WOW-o-WOW! You start the engine, the out going gases pushes the water out
of the Exhaust, you shut the water off, THEN bip engine coupla times, then turn off.

YOU DID A BAD!

Man......thats a Bad!..........Pistons push gas/air, not H2O. Suggest you read your shop manual, cover to cover!

i buy the rationale but i've done it this way for 12 yrs and never had this problem. Matter of fact i started my RX today and no problems!

ok now that I know what the problem is (boy, I won't do that again) we have motor exposed down to the crank and suctioned/dried all the water out and have oiled everything down to prevent corrosion. I'm in the process of ordering all new gaskets to button everything back up but have a few more questions.

Does the gti have a plug to drain the crank case? I didn't remove the bottom end. I've read that on some models you have to drain and install 1 oz of sae 30 wt but i don't see a fill plug/drain, am i missing something?

Counterbalance shaft you don't got. They are on bigger engines than your 720.

Thanks! I just wanna make sure other than the obvious (removing water) and new gaskets, O-rings that I'm not missing any steps!
