Alright so today I was out riding WOT and the machine lightly surges very quickly a couple times then quits like I hit the kill switch. My friend towed me back to shore where I did some investigating.
The engine does NOT have a fuel problem and rolls over fine.
I started to pull apart all of the electrical parts and checked all the fuses. All Good.
Took out the computer box and unplugged everything connected to it. From here I notice that the plug going into the mag has some black around one of the little pin connectors. I stuck a mirror down inside the machine and one of the pins on the mag plug is burned off and mostly gone. Is this likely caused from a poor connection and would cause engine failure?
The computer gets its crank signal for the spark from these correct?
It is one of the solid yellow mag wires on the plug that is now missing.
Thanks for any insight.
