I have a 97 Gtx and have had problems with is getting water in the gas for the last 2 times I have taken it out on the water. I will ride it for a few hours with no problems at all. It rockets out of the water and rides wonderful. Then after a few hours when I slowly run the throttle up it will rev to 5k rpm and do about 25 to 30 mpg which seems fine. The problem starts when I hit the throttle hard. It will hit 5-6k rpm for a milisecond and back down to 1k rpm and while holding the trottle all the way down it does that over and over and over (Revs up then drops off revs up then drops off) and won't get over 10mph.
I have 2 questions.
Is this a water in the fuel problem could it be something else?
Second Question.
How to I keep getting water in my fuel and what can I do to keep the water out of the fuel tank.
